Chinese New Year 2012

It's Chinese New Year tomorrow! I did my nails just yesterday and didn't have the time to do for anyone else. Sorry to those who asked me and I couldn't do for you this year!

I normally do my nails to suit the clothes I wear. This year I'll be wearing a cream coloured dress with flora prints, so I didn't want any strong colours. I decided to do a light shade for my nails with more feminine touch.

I used OPI Isn't That Precious as a base and layered gold glitter polish on certain portions where I was going stamp the designs on, I added on gold 3D stickers too.

DAY 6: VIOLET nails

Before I started on my assignment, I decided to paint my nails first. I'm doing DAY 6: violet nails. I borrowed this nail polish from my friend, Joanna, who got it from Forever 21. It full of micro glitters! After 3 coats, I achieved this really nice glittery purple nails. :)

My 21st Bday Nails!

I am officially 21! :D Not that it really makes that much of a difference to me..

Anyway, the theme for my party was white and blue, so I decided to do my nails with both colours, plus a little glitter for a nicer and complete look.

I'm using China Glaze's Frostbite on pearly white polish with blue glitter on the tips.

Golden Tips!

This Christmas I decided to use a gold and black theme for my outfit, so I did nails to match! This is the first time I'm working with glitter, so I'm not too sure if this is considered a good job. I'm kinda worried that all the glitter would have fallen off before Christmas though.

Red and Gold

I did my friend's nails last night, she requested for this dark red and i suggested gold tips for her. Its a really simple french design, nothing fanciful. I would rather much prefer gold glitter tips though. Originally, what I intended to do was to use gold Konad stamping polish to do some stamping for her. Unfortunately, the gold was too faint and it could hardly be seen.

Christmas

Christmas is around the corner and I thought I'll spend some time to think up of some Christmas nails ideas. I was just trying out OPI's Teenage Dream on Skin Food's Red Polish and I believe it has a some what Christmasy feel about it. For a more dramatic look, you could add on some jewels. I don't really use jewels because I find it troublesome to go about doing my daily chores with them on my nails. But I would recommend jewels for this set of nails.

For those who would prefer a lighter shade of nails, you can try this look. OPI's Teenage Dream layered over OPI's Isn't That Precious? .

I'll be doing my best to come up with more ideas for Christmas. So do check back again. :)

31 Day Challenge

DAY 1: RED Nails (Faceshop)

This challenge has been going on for quite awhile but I only stumbled upon it sometime last month? So far I've done Day 1 to 5. I'm not doing this on a daily basis due to the lack of time.

DAY 2: ORANGE nails (borrowed from friend)

I borrowed the orange polish from my friend Joanne as I didn't have any orange in my nail polish collection.

DAY 3: YELLOW nails (OPI: Need Sunglasses?)
This bright yellow polish is too borrowed from my friend because I don't have any yellow in my polish collection either.

DAY 4: GREEN nails (Konad)

This is green! Its yellowish green.

DAY 5: BLUE nails (China Glaze: Frostbite)

I love this colour! Its a bright electric blue!
